Sky Sports has reported that Celtic had agreed a deal worth around £4.5m upfront, with a further £2.3m in add-ons.
As with the arrivals of Camilo Duran, Kasper Hogh and Haissem Hassan, a substantial portion of the bonuses is linked to Celtic reaching the Champions League league phase.
In the case of the latter, the club announced the Egyptian international's move from Real Oviedo in Spain yesterday evening, becoming Celtic's third signing of the transfer window.
