Glaswegians can get a taste of the nightclub experience they've missed during lockdown at a brand new city centre hotel.
YOTEL Glasgow has unveiled its new rooftop bar, restaurant and bowling alley Vega which boasts an immersive disco lift.
Guests are sharing videos of them cutting shapes as music blasts and lights flash in the neon elevator which, it's safe to say, has gone down a storm on Instagram and Tiktok.
Vega said: "First impressions count as guests step into a one-of-a-kind disco lift for an explosive digital experience that plays on the contrast of darkness, light, sound and reflection to deliver an out-of-this-world trip up to VEGA."
Named after one of the brightest stars in the universe, the venue has been created with Instagram in mind and boasts rooftop views of the city, an interior inspired by Glasgow’s music scene and British pop culture with a ‘space-age’ vibe.
The four-lane bowling alley has animated ceiling projections, arched ceiling details and bespoke visual lighting effects that are triggered with the movement of bowling balls.
Vega is also keeping visitors fuelled from day to night with tasty sharers, high-quality small plates alongside irresistible hand-spun boozy shakes and cocktails served seven days a week.
Euan Wilson, Manager said “Our crew have been working incredibly hard over the past few months adding the finishing touches to our menus and getting the venue ready but now it’s time to show Glasgow what VEGA is all about. There’s nothing quite like us in the city and with our ambitious plans and abundance of energy, it is beyond exciting to be officially opening our doors and welcoming our first guests into the space.”
The venue will be offering a 50% discount on food during its soft opening taking place between 19 – 27 July. Limited spaces are available and can be booked via their website.
