It's only 63 days until Halloween comes around for those of us who might be thinking about planning to participate in more subdued and safe celebrations on October 31.
That being said, folk will still have the chance to get scared out their wits with the fact that an immersive horror experience is coming to a 'haunted' forest under an hour from Glasgow.
The team behind Kelburn's haunted Forest at Kelburn Castle and Country Centre near Largs (about a 45 minute drive from the city) are hosting an event called 'Cult' on Halloween.
Kelburn is of course home to the popular visitor attraction that is the Secret Forest, which they regard as "a complex of woodland paths and raised walkways with surprises at every turn".
Given the fact the horror experience is still over two months away, information on the event is still very much thin on the ground - with organisers only posting that it is 'new for 2020'.
The event will also only be for over 16's only.
