Nayanthara’s last release Kolamaavu Kokila has received a lot of success at the box office and also received a warm reception from critics. Now, the actor’s suspense thriller, Imaikkaa Nodigal starring Anurag Kashyap, Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna is up for release on August 30. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthi who debuted with Demonte Colony, the film’s trailer had impressed fans. Now, a song from the film has also revealed the role that actor Vijay Sethupathi plays in the film.
The song -- titled Neeyum Naanum Anbe -- begins with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi’s wedding in the film. While the trailer features Nayanthara as the serious cop, Anjali Vikramadithyan, who is on the tail of a serial killer, this song shows her personal side. It focuses on their relationship and how Vijay’s character helps her reconnect with her estranged parents and a baby that they are ready to welcome into their family. The song shows her as a fun loving woman and her transformation into a serious cop would be interesting to watch on the big screen.
The music for the film is composed by Hip Hop Tamizha, and this song is sung by Raghu Dixit, Sathyaprakash D and Jithin Raj. The film also marks the debut of Anurag Kashyap as an actor in a Tamil film. The Nayanthara-starrer is produced by CJ Jayakumar under the banner of Cameo Films.
Nayanthara is currently working on Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming sci-fi film and will also be working with actor Kamal Haasan in Shankar directorial Indian 2.
