As the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs continues, prosecutors have now released confronting images of items found in his hotel room following his arrest, including bottles of baby oil, pills and lubricant. The photos were made public on Monday, with the items found in Combs’ room at the Park Hyatt in Manhattan on September 16 last year.
Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Yasin Binda took the stand last week on Friday, May 16 and described the items to the jury, including baby oil, lubricant, prescription medication and a device that she described “as potentially mood lighting”.
The jury — comprising eight men, four women, and a group of alternates — also saw photos of a bag with drugs found in his nightstand drawers, which tested positive for MDMA and ketamine.
In previous court filings, the rapper’s team said he was staying at the hotel to be “accessible” to authorities and “surrender” to law enforcement. But, according to prosecutors, the assembled items suggest he might have been preparing for a hotel ‘freak off’ despite being aware he was about to be arrested.

As reported by USA Today, among the items discovered in the room were a plastic bag filled with Johnson & Johnson baby oil as well as five bottles of baby oil and lubricant on the floor of the bathtub and two bottles of lube in the nightstand drawer.
Authorities also found a fanny pack with US$9,000 in cash and a Louis Vuitton bag with a bottle of clonazepam prescribed to Combs’ alias Frank Black.

Cell phones belonging to Combs and his former chief of staff Kristina Khorram — who was named in Ventura’s testimony as one of Combs’ inside circle who helped ‘control’ her, per the Daily Mail — were also found.
In her testimony, Ventura shared that Combs was meticulous in how he wanted the ‘freak-off’ rooms to be set up, including strong scented candles lit at all times, and having warmed up baby oil on hand.
Newly released evidence pics made public by the Department of Justice included a photo of a large chef’s knife on the handle of a door, which Ventura said she used to protect herself from Combs.
Describing the pic to the jury, she said she used the knife to feel safe from her ex-partner, and had locked herself in her apartment around the end of their relationship in 2018.
“I was getting a lot of unannounced visits from Sean and I was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Lock it and I had a weapon,” she said in her testimony last Wednesday.

Other shocking images also included a selfie of the singer with a fat-lip, which Ventura said she sustained in a horror episode inside an LA hotel where Combs was caught on surveillance kicking and stomping on her.
The jury also saw photos after other alleged beatings, including large bruises on her body, black eyes and swollen lips.
Taking the stand on Monday, Ventura’s former best friend Kerry Morgan recounted how Combs allegedly used a hammer to smash his way into her apartment after the LA Hotel assault.
As reported by the BBC, she told the court she was at Ventura’s apartment after the hotel incident and watched through the peephole as Combs was “banging on the door with a hammer”. He did not enter the apartment and police arrived three hours later. No complaint was filed, she said.
In another instance, she recounted a violent outburst by Combs during a Jamaica vacation, when she claims she saw him drag Ventura down a hallway by her hair because she was “taking too long in the bathroom”.

In her testimony, singer Dawn Richard — who was in a band with Combs between 2009 and 2011 — said she “frequently” saw Ventura being beaten.
She alleged she was threatened by Combs in a manner which made her think “we could die” if she crossed him.
She recounted a 2009 incident at Combs’ LA home, where she alleged she saw Combs attempt to hit Ventura with a skillet, before kicking and beating her.
“Frequently, he would punch her, choke her, slap her in the mouth,” Richard said, per The Guardian. “I saw him kick her, punch her in the stomach.
“It could be because Cassie was speaking up for herself, it could be random.”
The 41-year-old described an alleged 2010 incident of Combs punching Ventura at an LA restaurant and claimed Usher was also a witness to the event.
“Mr. Combs punched Cassie in the stomach. “They were having a private conversation, and he punched her in the stomach. She immediately leaned over and left,” she said.
In addition to Usher, Richard alleged that other musicians, including Ne-Yo, record exec Jimmy Iovine and rapper Big Daddy Kane, were present as well, per E Online.
The trial continues, and is expected to last around seven more weeks.
Combs faces a number of charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
