ACT Policing has released a computer-generated image of a man in an effort to identify the person they believe stole a car during an aggravated robbery on June 6.

The man depicted in the image was allegedly involved in the carjacking theft of a silver Nissan X-Trail from Duffy.

Police allege the man and an accomplice stole a vehicle with NSW registration CV99VK from a unit complex in Glenmaggie Street at about 11.40pm.

The alleged offender was wearing a white hoodie and carrying a black bag at the time of the incident, and is described as being about 180 centimetres tall, of slim build and with black facial stubble.

Anyone who can identify the man or who may have captured video of the vehicle, which was found in Braddon on June 8, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6817653. Information can be provided anonymously.

The image is a graphical representation of a face, constructed by an artist working with a witness.
