Image of man released as police investigate Corlette robbery

HUNTER police investigating a Port Stephens robbery are hopeful a still from CCTV footage will help them crack the case.

Police were called after a man entered a Sandy Point Road shop at Corlette about 10am on December 10.

The man approached a female employee and demanded cash before he fled south along the street towards Bagnalls Beach.

Port Stephens Hunter police began investigating and on Wednesday released an image of a man they say may be able to help with their inquiry.

He is described as caucasian and aged in his late 30s with a thin build and a pot belly.

He had a dark blond-coloured mohawk haircut with shaved sides and was wearing a black hoodie, a black t-shirt, sunglasses and a black hat.

Anyone with additional CCTV or who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in Corlette around the same time is urged to call 1800 333 000.
