Tete Yengi reckons it's a dream come true after the Livingston striker's shock World Cup call-up for Australia.
The 25-year-old was a surprise inclusion in the Socceroos squad, with Hibs stalwart Martin Boyle missing the cut.
Yengi only managed to score two goals for the relegated West Lothian outfit this season before he was sent on loan to Japanese outfit Machida Zelvia, where he netted six goals in 22 appearances and helped them reach the Asian Champions League Final.
And the uncapped Yengi still can't believe he got the call from manager Tony Popovic.
He said: "Football is crazy. Everything can change in six months and that's what happened with me.
"I was at Livingston and then made the move to Japan. I was enjoying my time in Scotland, even though things weren’t going so well, I was still playing week in week out.
"Thankfully, it's gone so well in Japan. It's a great club, and I'm enjoying my football there.
"I don’t know if it’s really sunk in yet.
"There are so many great players that have played for this country, some of my idols.
"I’m just grateful for the opportunity. Hopefully, I can get on the pitch, I’m still uncapped. It’s amazing my first call-up has come at a World Cup.
"I feel like I've taken a bit from every place I've been to, and that's helped me to be who I am today.
"Going to different countries, different places in the world, going through difficult times, those things all shape you."
