
Himeji Castle is lit up by LEDs in an event called "Shiro no Hikari (white illumination) -- egret shining night." The fortress, nicknamed "egret castle," is a World Heritage site located in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. The castle is illuminated in one of six different colors each day. The event also features laser beams emitted into the sky and projection mapping of flowers and ninja. It runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Sunday. Admission is 1,000 yen for adults and 300 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students.
