Illuminated icicles captivate visitors in Japan's Saitama Pref.

Clusters of icicles are illuminated in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, on Saturday. The Misotsuchi no Tsurara icicles form when springwater that seeps from rocks freezes. According to a local tourist organization, the naturally-formed icicles span an area about 10 meters tall and 30 meters wide, while the man-made icicles cover a rock wall about 25 meters tall and 55 meters wide. The illumination lasts through Feb. 11.
