Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is reopening next week

The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is expected to reopen, following the pandemic shutdown, July 15. | Gillian Gryz.

The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie is the latest local cultural institution to announce plans to reopen after the coronavirus shutdown.

The museum is set to open at 10 a.m. July 15, officials there said Friday. Visitors will be allowed in free on that day, although they will be required to have a ticket to enter.

For a ticket, go to https://bit.ly/2DpsVLb or call (847) 967-4800.

The museum is requiring guests to wear face masks and submit to a temperature check before entering the facility.

The announcement follows news the Field Museum is set to reopen its doors July 17 to members and, a week later, to the general public.
