Consumer protection police raided two warehouses in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Thian district and seized goods smuggled from China worth over 10 million baht.

The products were sold online and had no Thai labels, prompting customers to report to them to police.

Police searched the two warehouses on Monday after concluding they were being used to store contraband goods.

A large range of illegal products were found during the raids, in Samae Dam area of Bang Khun Thian district. They included potentially hazardous household goods (mosquito repellent and disinfectants), cosmetics (hair dye, sanitary pads and lipstick) and food (puddings and fruit juice), with the total value exceeding 10 million baht.

All of them lacked registration numbers or labels issued by the Thai Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).

The FDA said people should look for the Thai-language label and FDA logo before buying goods.
