Illegal medicines made from rhino horns and tigers seized from Scots businesses

Traditional medicines made from rhino horns, tigers, turtles, bears and sea horses have been seized from businesses across Scotland.

Police Scotland shared photos of some of their findings online to warn Scots that the remedies and medicines are being sold illegally.

If traditional medicines or herbal remedies are made from one of the 30,000 most protected species in the world, it is against the law.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: "Our officers and partners have seized traditional medicines and remedies made from rhino horns, tigers, turtles, bears and sea horses from businesses in Scotland.

"Buying or selling traditional medicine or herbal remedies made from one of the 30,000 most protected species is illegal.

"If you suspect items are being sold illegally report it."
