Illegal German vaccination centre shut down after dozens receive 'homemade Covid-19 jabs'

German police shut down an illegal vaccination centre on Saturday after discovering a doctor had been administering so-called Covid-19 vaccines he had made himself.

The vaccine, which has not been approved by any official organisation, was being administered to people at Lubeck Airport.

According to Germany's public broadcaster, Norddeutscher Rundfunk, officials seized the illegal vaccines along with lists of people who had been given the jab that day.

It is estimated that approximately 50 people had received the vaccine, and over 200 people were queuing to receive it when police arrived at the scene.

Medical experts have claimed the doctor skipped many safety precautions before administering the jab to members of the public and failed to provide any information to regulatory bodies.

The doctor is believed to have tested the jab on himself and volunteers. He claims the vaccine is 97% effective against Covid-19.

The opening of the unlicensed vaccination centre is considered a criminal offence under the German Medicines Act.

State prosecutors announced on Monday that an investigation into four doctors who were involved in the vaccination centre has begun.
