A TAXI driver who allegedly interrupted a foursome at an illegal brothel in Jesmond told one of the men "you f---ed my wife" before grabbing a knife and stabbing the other man three times, including once in the groin, court documents state.
Robert Moretti, 58, allegedly went to a Michael Street unit - where he had previously "utilised sexual services" with a woman - about 9pm on July 27.
He was allowed inside and insisted on speaking to the woman, who came downstairs and told him to wait in a bedroom while she and another woman finished "providing sexual services" to two men in an upstairs bedroom.
A short time later, one of the women was leading the two men downstairs to one of the exits when Mr Moretti allegedly said to one of the men: "You f---ed my wife".
An agitated Mr Moretti allegedly picked up a knife from the kitchen and approached the man as he was leaving the unit.
The other man who had been upstairs allegedly saw Mr Moretti with the knife and intervened to stop him from attacking the man.
Mr Moretti is then accused of turning on the second man and using the knife to stab him three times, the attack allegedly continuing outside onto the front porch.
The woman called out for help and the woman Mr Moretti had come to see came downstairs and pulled him away from the alleged stabbing victim.

Mr Moretti allegedly threw the knife on the floor and the woman he came to see slapped him across the face and told him to leave. He left through another exit. Later that evening the man who was stabbed was taken by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital where he received treatment for stab wounds to his left upper arm, torso and his groin area.
He also suffered bruising and remained in hospital overnight before undergoing surgery.
Mr Moretti was arrested at Newcastle police station three days later and declined to be interviewed.
He was charged with wounding person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and granted conditional bail. On Thursday, Mr Moretti, who is represented by solicitor Mark Ramsland, had his matter adjourned until October 8.
