Ilkay Gundogan, Nathan Ake - Man City injury list and return dates ahead of Arsenal fixture

Man City were handed multiple injury boosts in their midweek win over Everton.

Kevin De Bruyne made an appearance off the bench in the match for what was his first game since January 20 and Ruben Dias started after missing last week's win over Spurs.

Sergio Aguero was also on the substitutes bench again as he continues to feel his way back to fitness following his time on the sidelines with Covid-19.

It means Pep Guardiola's squad is starting to return to full strength ahead of Sunday's trip to Arsenal, with City's winning run made all the more remarkable by the absence of players such as De Bruyne.

Guardiola has just two injury worries ahead of the trip to the Emirates - here is Man City's injury list and expected return dates.

Ilkay Gundogan

The in-form midfielder missed the midweek win over Everton due to a groin strain picked up in last week's victory against Spurs.

He is a doubt to face Arsenal but is back in training, meaning there is a chance he could feature.

What Guardiola said: "Gundo played just part of today's (Friday) session. We will see tomorrow how he feels."

Expected return date: February 21

Nathan Ake

Ake has been absent for 15 matches due to a muscular injury, with his last appearance coming on Boxing Day.

The former Bournemouth defender has been limited to just nine appearances this season due to the recurring injury but Guardiola says the Dutchman is back in individual training.

What Guardiola said: "Nathan has come back to training on the pitch. Alone still, but he is closer to coming back with us. The rest are fit."

Expected return date: Unknown
