Ilford stabbing: Two men seriously injured in 'linked' knife attacks in east London

Two men have been rushed to hospital after two stabbings in east London which are believed to be linked.

Police were called to Roden Street in Ilford at 7.15pm on Thursday to a reports of a stabbing.

Officers and paramedics attended and found a man suffering from stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are thought to be serious, Met Police said.

Footage on social media shows a number of police officers rushing i​nto a Sainsbury's store in the town centre.

A short time later, another man suffering from stab injuries called for ambulance from a house in Forest Gate.

He has also been taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Officers believe the two incidents are linked.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remain in police custody.

Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 8094/21 May or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
