Ilford stabbing: Boys, 14 and 16, rushed to hospital after being knifed during 'big fight' in east London street

Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, have been stabbed after a "big fight" broke out in an east London street.

Police and paramedics were called to Beehive Lane, a busy road in Ilford, shortly before 4pm on Thursday.

The younger boy was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition however his injuries are no longer thought to be critical.

A large group of youths had been fighting, Scotland Yard said.

Local MP Wes Streeting said there had been a "big fight" and thanked the emergency services for their "rapid response".

A police spokesman added: “Two teenage boys were found suffering from stab injuries. They have both been taken to an east London hospital.

“Another male has been arrested on suspicion of GBH. A crime scene is in place.”

It comes after a young man was stabbed to death outside Ilford station shortly before 9pm on Tuesday.

Witnesses to the Ilford attack said two people were fighting outside the station and there had been a series of “skirmishes” beforehand.
