Ikon bringing 90s dance legends QFX back to Newcastle for huge Bank Holiday party

There are certain dance songs that many Geordies of a certain age will always hold close to their heart.

Nakatomi's Children of the Night is probably one of them and right up there with that 90s anthems in QFX's Freedom.

Whether it takes you back to your early nights on the Toon or your school disco, the track which was released well over 20 years ago now, was an absolute belter.

And you'll be able to hear it again when QFX, who you'll also remember for their hit Everytime You Touch Me, return to Newcastle for an Ikon Easter Special next month, with tickets on sale now.

The famous club will be taking over the O2 Academy on Easter Sunday - April 21 - for a massive party with QFX topping the Bank Holiday bill.

Over the past few years, Ikon Live have hosted the likes of Kelly Llorenna, Basshunter, Sash and Ultrabeat, as well as inviting revellers to a rave on the River Tyne, and will now bring back QFX’s original lineup for a set.

The last time the 90s favourites were in Newcastle in 2017 the response was insane with many Geordies jumping at the chance to throw things back to the days if Geordie jeans and Kappa tracksuits.

Bounce vocalist Nikki will also be performing live on the night.

Main room support comes from Ikon residents Jeff Scott, JBS and Evolution Bounce, while up in room two,Ministry of Bounce will provide you with anthem filled selection of the finest bounce, headlined by Poomstyles.

One of the freshest bounce producer DJs around providing a unique sound to his tracks. Recently featuring on an iTunes podcast that hit number one in the podcast charts!

MOB residents Richy, Scotty, Ian M and Andy Effect fill in the rest of the night with Ben Rushin on host duties.

QFX announced the show on their Facebook on Sunday night and tickets are now available online from Fatsoma for £15.
