Ikea has reopened 19 of its stores today and around 1,000 shoppers were outside its Warrington store waiting for doors to open.
The popular homeware retailer closed all stores across England on March 20 just before the country went into lockdown.
Now stores are reopened, there will be operating a number of safety measures including social distancing wardens patrolling its shop floors.
Other measures include customers limits inside similar to what is in place at supermarkets.
While Liverpool doesn't have an IKEA store, the nearest one is a short drive away in Warrington - we've rounded-up the opening times and what safety measures will be in place going forward.
Opening times
IKEA says it will be re-opening stores with reduced opening hours for now.
The opening hours will be as follows:
Mon-Sat: 10.00-20.00
Sun: 11.00-17.00
Shopping rules
In total 19 IKEA stores will be reopening in the UK and strict rules will be in place across them all. The retailer is asking customers not to come shopping as a family.
Only two people from the same household will be allowed if you need special assistance or if you need to bring your children with you - otherwise you will be expected to shop alone.
There will also be a queuing system outsider its stores as customer limits will be in operation.
Hand sanitisers will be stationed throughout the store, as will new protective screens at key points such as checkouts.
IKEA recommends you come prepared with ready-made lists and your own bags.
Shoppers must also remember IKEA is not accepting any cash payments to protect staff.
