IKEA offering Dubliners the chance to pick up a Christmas tree for just €15

Swedish furniture giant IKEA is offering Dubliners the chance to get their hands on a real Christmas tree for just €15.

The beautiful Nordmann fir trees, which have been grown in Scotland, will be available in the flatpack kings' Ballymun store from Monday.

The trees come in a variety of sizes, up to a maximum height of 170 cm, so customers can choose the one that best fits their home.

They will sell for €30 but shoppers will be given a €15 voucher that can be used to buy homeware in the store early in the New Year.

This is the ninth year the retailer has run the hugely popular offer.

Anna Liakh, Commercial Activities Leader for IKEA UK and Ireland, said: “For many, a beautifully decorated tree is the heart of the home at Christmas time, so we’re proud to continue to offer our customers affordable fresh trees through our much-anticipated Christmas tree deal.

"The delicate scent of pine needles throughout the home is one of our favourite Christmas fragrances, lifting everyone’s spirits during the festive season and we want as many people as possible to be able to experience that, particularly as Christmas will likely look different this year.

"What’s more, shoppers can redeem their €15 voucher across a whole range of homewares in-store, making the offer a gift that truly keeps on giving this Christmas."

The offer will run from Monday, 23 November to Thursday, 24 December 2020 in participating stores while stocks last.

Customers will be able to redeem their IKEA voucher from 18 January to 28 February 2021.
