IKEA customers floored as couple's staggering error in store showroom goes viral

IKEA shoppers were left in disbelief after a fellow customer made a staggering error in the store.

The hilarious blunder took place in an unknown branch location, with the shopper's hapless mistake outed in a now viral Tik Tok video captured by another customer.

In the clip uploaded by user @blxze_yxtes, which has amassed over one million views, a couple are filmed picking up furniture from the store's showroom and wheeling it around in their cart.

As most know, the showroom is only for shoppers to get a look at the items they want, before collecting their furnishings from the huge warehouse at the end.

As reported by Birmingham Live, the video was posted along with the caption: "When you don't realise you buy the IKEA furniture flat-packed at the end lol."

"Our IKEA trip yesterday was entertaining..." the person who posted it added.

IKEA operates stores worldwide, including three Scottish stores in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

As the video went viral, people flocked to have their say - including one who said: "As someone that works at IKEA, it happens more than you think."

Another added: "The best part is they’ll have been thinking how lucky they were to get the only one left."
