Ikea announce list of stores reopening in June

Following the likes of Dunelm and Wickes, Swedish furniture giant Ikea has confirmed it will be reopening some of its stores.

The chain is rolling out a trial, in which it will reopen 19 of its locations.

Only one adult and one child per household will be allowed into a store on the same visit, while play areas and restaurants will remain closed.

There will also be 'social distancing wardens' at each location, to help shoppers navigate their way through a new one-way system.

The stores which will open in June include:

Furnitures stores resumed trading after the government updated its list of 'essential' retailers on May 13.

Dunelm has reopened 39 of its 179 stores after it received permission from the government on May 12.
