BENGALURU: II PU exams will be held between August 19 and September 3. The department of pre-university education said they are for those students not happy with the results announced earlier, and for private candidates.
This academic year, the department had cancelled II PU exams following a spike in Covid-19 cases. Students were instead promoted based on their performance in classes 10 and 11 exams. However, candidates who registered privately were not considered during promotion and DPUE had said it would hold exams for them.
The department had also provided an option for fresh candidates to appear for exams if they were not satisfied with the results given by the department. Around 900 such students are writing the examinations. In all, 18,414 candidates are expected to appear for the examinations to be held in 187 centres across the state.
