Igor Tudor was left “emotional” after thousands of Tottenham fans greeted the team bus before their showdown with relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.
A sea of Spurs fans welcomed the squad on the High Road, in a huge show of support ahead of a huge game in the battle to stay up.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Tudor said: “It was emotional... to see this passion, to see this love, to see the faces of the people there.
“Good motivation, if we needed motivation. There is no need for extra motivation, but it was beautiful to see that passion and that love.”
Spurs fans wanted to create an atmosphere to give the team a lift as they bid to pull clear of trouble at the bottom of the Premier League.
Supporters have put protests against the club’s owners on hold while the team is fighting for survival.
A statement released by fan group THFC Flag this week called for a show of support against Forest, saying: “Tottenham Hotspur means everything to us. It always has... To our team, our players, our coaching staff: we are right behind you... You will hear us.”
Ahead of kick-off against Forest, Spurs were just one point above the bottom three.
Tudor said: “We still have eight games. It is an important game but this will not decide our season. We need to be focused on the tasks, not thinking too much about the consequences but being ready to what we have prepared.”
