Iggy Azalea just posted a statement on Twitter supporting Britney Spears and alleging Jamie Spears pressured her into signing a non-disclosure agreement.
#FreeBritney has been all over the news this week as Britney Spears’ bombshell speech about life under a conservatorship broke our hearts and ignited our rage. Iggy Azalea, who worked with Britney on the song ‘Pretty Girls’, has been supporting Britney and backing her claims – including a Twitter statement detailing some pretty fucked alleged experiences with Jamie Spears.
“It’s basic human decency to at the very least remove a person Britney has identified as abusive from her life. This should be illegal,” Iggy’s statement read.

“During the time we worked together in 2015, I personally witnessed the same behavior Britney detailed in regards to her father last week and I just want to back her up & tell the world that: She is not exaggerating or lying,” she said.
“I saw her restricted from even the most bizarre & trivial things: like how many sodas she was allowed to drink. Why is that even necessary?”
“Her father conveniently waited until literally moments before our BMAs performance when I was backstage in the dressing room & told me if I did not sign an NDA he would not allow me on stage.”
Iggy then went on to allege that Jamie Spears pressured her into signing a non-disclosure agreement, something she’s previously tweeted about.

“The way he went about getting me to sign a contract, sounded similar to the tactics Britney spoke about last week in regards to her Las Vegas show,” Iggy said.
“Jamie Spears has a habit of making people sign documents while under Duress it seems, and Britney Spears should not be forced to co-exist with that man when she’s made it clear it is negatively impacting her mental health. This is not right at all.”

The Twitter statement comes after people accused Iggy of being complacent because of her silence on the #FreeBritney movement.
She previously said that Britney didn’t need her to speak up and that she signed a non-disclosure agreement and could be sued – but it looks like social media’s pressure is working.
A judge has denied Britney Spears’ request to remove her father from her conservatorship – so the fight to #FreeBritney is still on.
