A list of Glasgow surnames could owe some lucky families a small fortune in unclaimed estates.
Thousands of pounds of unclaimed inheritance could be waiting to be collected across the city, and if you recognise any of these names then you could be in luck.
According to a specialist website, Unclaimed Estates, there are 164 estates with links to Glasgow and they could be worth some serious cash.
These records go back years - and include some popular Glasgow surnames, as well as some of the information held about the deceased.
How can I collect an unclaimed estate?
Normally, when a person dies their assets revert to a named person but sometimes relatives cannot be traced.
When this happens, the estate is held for 30 years before being transferred to the Treasury.
However, if a relative finds out about the death, they can still claim these estates, despite not knowing them.

Who is entitled to collect an unclaimed estate?
If a person dies without leaving a will the following people are entitled to claim the estate:
- Husband, wife or civil partner
- Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on
- Mother or father
- Brothers or sisters who share both the same mother and father, or their children (nieces and nephews)
- Half brothers or sisters or their children
- Uncles and aunts or their children (first cousins or their descendants)
