If you thought a roll with slice, tattie scone, cheese and curry sauce was odd, just wait for the latest Ayrshire breakfast craze

An Irvine takeaway owner who caused a food sensation when she launched her roll with sausage, cheese and curry sauce has a brand new morning favourite with her diners.

And on Marymass Saturday rolls crammed with bacon, potato scone, cheese, onion and curry sauce were the roll of choice for festival goers who popped into Tricia's Takeaway in Bank Street.

"When news of the roll with sliced sausage, potato scone, cheese and curry sauce got out our phone was ringing off the hook," said Tricia.

"People were coming in and adding their own twists on to it and then someone asked for a roll with bacon, potato scone, cheese, onion and curry sauce, we couldn't believe it.

"Just as you think you have heard it all, someone comes up with something else to try."

Tricia has also been asked by health conscious diners to create some Slimming World recipes with her own twist too.

"I have created some Slimming World quiche lunches and added Branston Pickle to give it a bit of kick," added Tricia.

"To be honest, we will do anything our hungry customers want, from rolls and mince with fried egg to a roll and stovies."
