If You’re Struggling To Get Netflix To Work, It’s Apparently Having Global Tech Issues RN

If you’re having problems accessing Netflix to rewatch Friends for the 324th time (me), then you’re not alone: Netflix went down for users across the globe.

According to Down Detector, the streaming service began experiencing issues shortly after 10am on Saturday morning, with roughly 300 people making reports.

“We’re currently experiencing issues streaming on all devices, and we’re working to resolve the problem,” the Netflix customer service Twitter account said.

Netflix appears to be experiencing issues in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Malaysia and the US, so at least it’s not just an “us” problem, I guess?

“We’re extremely sorry but we’re having unexpected technical issues with Netflix in some countries. Our engineers are working to fix it as quickly as possible,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement provided to News.com.au.

“We know that our members rely on Netflix, so getting this sorted is our team’s number one priority. As soon as we have more news we will let you know.

“Again many, many apologies for the inconvenience.”

While it seems like a personal attack on those of locked down at the moment, the good news is that you have endless other streaming services to pass the time. May I suggest Ted Lasso on Apple+ or Dr Death on Stan? Or Line of Duty on Britbox, if you somehow still haven’t gotten onto that show. (Seriously, get on with it, you won’t regret it.)

Or, you could go outside for a (masked up) walk, I suppose. You do you.
