If you could steal one AFC West player and give him to the Broncos, who would it be?

The AFC West division is among the most competitive in the NFL and it is full of terrific players.

Recently, we discussed which AFC West team is currently the biggest rival of the Denver Broncos. Here, we will examine those same teams and see which player would be best to bring over to the Broncos.

Let’s take a look at some of the candidates.

Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback, Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos recently obtained Joe Flacco in a trade and though the veteran does have a Super Bowl ring on his finger, admit it, you would rather have Mahomes. If you say you wouldn’t, you’re not being honest with yourself.

The reigning NFL MVP is as gifted as anyone we’ve seen play the position in quite some time and as a result, the Chiefs should be contenders for quite some time.

He threw for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns last season.

Travis Kelce, Tight end, Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos may have finally solved their long-standing problem of not having a tight end that can stretch the field when they drafted Noah Fant in the first round, but Kelce might be the league’s most dangerous player at that position.

Antonio Brown, Wide receiver, Oakland Raiders

Brown might be the ultimate “diva” at wide receiver in today’s game, but he also has the talent to be the league’s best wide receiver.

He should give the Raiders the dynamic option on offense that the team has been lacking for quite some time and though many may consider him to be a bad teammate, the reward he brings for the potential risk is massive.

Philip Rivers, Quarterback, Los Angeles Chargers

Top to bottom, the Chargers have the most talented roster in the division and that is why so many of their players appear on this list, starting with their leader.

Rivers has long been considered a major enemy of the Broncos since the night he argued with Jay Cutler and taunted him from the sideline. He’s one of those guys who is easy to dislike, but his fiery, competitive spirit makes him a guy you love to have on your side.

Keenan Allen, Wide receiver, Los Angeles Chargers

One of the most consistent receivers in the league when healthy, Allen is a quarterback’s best friend. He runs routes better than just about any player in the league and catches pretty much everything thrown his way.

Melvin Gordon, Running back, Los Angeles Chargers

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Gordon is a talented young running back who is also a terrific receiver out of the backfield. Can you imagine a one-two punch of Gordon and Phillip Lindsay?

I just a handful of seasons, Gordon has turned into one of the league’s most promising runners.

Joey Bosa, Defensive end, Los Angeles Chargers

Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

A ferocious pass rusher, Bosa has to be on this list. But adding him to the Broncos’ roster would give the team an embarrassment of riches with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, so it would likely be a better idea to add a player at a position of weakness.

Derwin James, Safety, Los Angeles Chargers

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

James was scary good as a rookie last season and has a bright future in the league. The fact that the Chargers got him with the No. 17 overall pick in the first round is ridiculous.

A true ballhawk and a solid tackler, James doesn’t really have a weakness. He makes plays all over the field.
