Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has been proved wrong by Liverpool's Diogo Jota following Saturday's victory over Southampton.
The Reds won 4-0 at Anfield and the Portuguese international scored twice in the first half.
It was Jota's seventh Premier League goal of the season and eighth in all competitions as he looks to close the gap on Mohamed Salah.
Merson praised the 24-year-old after the game, admitting he was wrong to assume he'd struggle to get into this team.

“When he went there, I liked him, I thought he was a good player at Wolves, I thought there is no way he is playing in this team. No way with [Roberto] Firmino," he told Sky Sports News after the game.
"When he [Firmino] doesn’t play, Jota plays and he has literally settled quicker than snow, if I am being honest.
"He has been absolutely brilliant, and he has just carried that on.”

Jota has already scored 21 goals for Liverpool in all competitions since his arrival from Wolves in September last year.
He's had an extended run in the team in recent weeks as Firmino is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
“I take advantage of playing for a good team,” Jota told Sky Sports after the game. “Fortunately for me I can score goals and hopefully keep doing it."
