'If anyone was' - Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray makes this claim after Nottingham Forest draw

Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has given his thoughts on the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park.

Both sides had to settle for a point in the Sky Bet Championship clash in Lancashire, with Forest’s unbeaten run in the league now stretching to nine matches.

Adam Armstrong opened the scoring for the home side, before Joe Lolley quickly netted an equaliser for Forest only a couple of minutes later.

The draw leaves Forest in third place with 19 points, while Blackburn have 14 points in 11th place in the Championship.

Mowbray said after the game that he felt “disappointed” to only come away from Ewood Park with a point and claimed Rovers were the only side who looked like winning.

"We have to find the balance each game if we can, the right combination of players," he said.

"A lot of crosses went in their box that we didn't get on the end of, so there's still things we have to work on - what type of goals are we going to score from wide areas? We can get behind teams - we've been working hard on our ball retention.

"We're a work in progress, a lot of new players, a new team, and I think we'll get better and stronger as the season unfolds.

"Yes, we're disappointed we've only drawn at home, but we've put down a marker for where we are and if anyone was going to win that it was going to be us."
