While Raju Srivastav is known for comedy, not many know that he is also passionate about acting. So far one has mainly seen him performing live and doing comic acts on TV. But he has also acted in shows like Adaalat and Shaktiman and loves doing that. He will soon be seen in Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai and is excited to be a part of a TV show after a long time.
Talking about his role in the show, he says, “I will be doing a cameo. And if my dates allow then my track might get extended too. I will be seen as myself on the show. Even before getting a call for the role, I had seen a few episodes and I had liked the comedy.”
So apart from comedy, was he interested in acting too? “Acting has always attracted me and I have got ample of opportunities to perform as an actor too. I think comedy is the hardest genre of all. Making someone laugh is tough. But if a person can do comedy then performing in other genres is not difficult at all. This is what I have experienced. Even today I get offers to act and I happily take them,” says Raju.
Meanwhile, owing to the pandemic, Raju has not been able to perform on stage and he misses that.
“I did some online shows. But now that things have started to open up, I am again doing stage shows. Even though they are not public shows with huge crowds but mostly corporate gigs with fewer people. It isn’t the same like earlier but we can't do much about it. I am glad that things are at least opening up now. The response we used to get from people hasn’t changed because everyone like good content,” shares Raju.
