This is the shocking moment a private hire taxi did a U-turn and nearly smashed into a passing car on a busy main road.
The driver was captured on camera as they made the dangerous manoeuvre, on Borough Road in Birkenhead, at around 8.40am on Friday 13 December.
In the dashcam footage - taken by the driver who was seconds away from being hit by the taxi - the car can be seen driving down the flyover and onto Borough Road as the taxi emerges to the side of it, in the left lane.
As the car reaches the end of the flyover and drives onto the road, the taxi suddenly swerves to the right and makes a U-turn across two lanes of traffic, before driving off in the opposite direction.
The incident, which took place close to the Pyramid Shopping Centre in Birkenhead , happened close to a sign warning drivers that no U-turns can be made on the road.
Others vehicles were also in the vicinity and driving down the busy road just seconds after the taxi made the dangerous move.
The video was posted on social media and shared with the ECHO, by a man who branded the taxi driver "an idiot."
