'Idiot' drivers caught on camera being dangerous and reckless on our roads

Dashcam footage has caught ‘idiot’ drivers performing reckless and dangerous manoeuvres on Merseyside roads.

The culprits, who have been caught out through the use of modern technology, show no regard for fellow drivers in a number of near misses.

From cutting across lanes to running red lights, it’s a miracle no one was seriously hurt in any of the incidents.

Those featured in the video have been posted to the YouTube channel ‘Idiot Drivers On Our Roads’, and it’s clear the people involved need a reminder in road safety.

In one clip, a blue transit van driving in the middle lane of the East Lancs forces itself over to the left lane in order to make the exit on the slip road and in doing so the van comes agonisingly close to crashing.

In one of the most dangerous clips, a white van travelling at speed fails to stop for the red light almost causing a side-on crash at a busy crossroads junction.

Meanwhile, dashcam footage taken in Fazakerley shows an impatient Ford Focus driver mounting the kerb, all just to get in front of the small queue of traffic ahead.

Another clip, taken at night shows the driver of a car making a dash for the M57 slip road forcing the lorry behind to quickly press on the breaks.
