Idina Menzel has been picked to sing the American national anthem at Super Bowl XLIX on 1 February.
The Tony-winning Broadway star, currently starring in If/Then, reached a new level of ubiquity last year as the voice of Elsa the Snow Queen in Frozen. Her rendition of Let it Go was one of the biggest-selling songs of 2014.
It also earned her a slot on the Oscars, where her name was famously mangled by John Travolta. Let it Go went on to win the award for best song.
Menzel will sing The Star Spangled Banner before the game, which takes place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.
She will be joined by John Legend, who will perform America the Beautiful.
Legend is also enjoying a career high. His song with Common, Glory, from the soundtrack to Selma, won a Golden Globe and has just been nominated for an Oscar.
As previously announced, the half-time entertainment will be provided by Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz.
