ICW will return to Glasgow’s O2 Academy this July for their annual Shug’s Hoose Party show, the company announced over the weekend.
The seventh edition of the event will take place Sunday July 26, and is the second of ICW’s big yearly shows.
Shug’s Hoose Party was created in 2014 to coincide with the birthday weekend of ICW founder Mark Dallas. The first instalment is notable for being the event in which recent Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre made his return to Scottish wrestling following his initial release from the WWE.
The popularity of the show amongst fans saw it expanded to a two-night weekender in 2017, although this year’s edition has been scaled back to just the one night.
With NXT UK holding tapings in Glasgow on the Friday and Saturday of that weekend, it promises to be an exciting few days for wrestling fans.
The announcement of Shug’s came during a successful weekend for ICW, with both their ninth annual Square Go event receiving rave reviews from fans. Three championships changed hands before Kez Evans became the latest wrestler to win the Square Go match, earning himself a guaranteed title opportunity in the next year.
