ICT – what works in class?

In geography lessons I use an AVerMedia visualiser, which is a camera used similarly to an overhead projector, allowing me to show diagrams on the whiteboard. It revolutionised my teaching because I don't have to reproduce paper copies.

The Ninetendo Wii My French Coach and My Spanish Coach programs allow students to work individually or in pairs to test themselves on vocabulary or grammar. It sets them questions that focus on their weaknesses. Pupils say they find this motivating because it's something they have at home.

Quizlet is effective in language learning because it enables pupils to access the vocabulary website whenever they want. We are now planning to roll it out across every subject that requires the learning of terminology.
