ICSE Class X board exams begin with English paper

Poviet Kaur

CHANDIGARH: On Tuesday, Class X students appeared for offline board exams after almost two years. While some were excited, many were nervous about appearing for the offline exam after a long time. Students of Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination took the English language semester 2 paper.

They said they found the paper easy and not lengthy. Anjali Bhatt, an English language teacher in an ICSE board school of the Tricity said, “The paper was doable and students were happy. I hope the students score well.”

The English exam was of 1.5 hours duration, from 11am to 12:30pm. Even though ICSE students were somewhat nervous about taking a full-fledged theory exam offline, many Class X students were largely happy with the paper.

Students reached examination centres half an hour prior to the exam and produced the vaccination certificate at the exam centre.  Atul Khanna, director, Strawberry Fields school said, “Around 110 students appeared for the examination.”

CBSE exams from Tuesday:

Class 10 students will appear for painting and some language papers on the first day of exams. Class XII students will appear for the entrepreneurship and beauty & wellness papers. CBSE announced restoration of the single exam format.
