The wait is almost over for those eagerly awaiting the return of the famous Ship Inn.
The iconic Irvine restaurant has been closed since Covid first hit our shores - almost three years ago.
But now the family business is set to reopen after an extensive makeover and a menu overhaul.
Reservations are now being taken for the eaterie's grand reopening on January 27.
A post on the restaurant's Facebook page read: "Nearly three years have passed, and at times it didn't feel like the old girl would sail again, but...
"Lots of hard work, the best times, the worst times, huge up's and incredible downs and a whole load of new friendships formed...we're ready to set sail.
"Join The Ship and their crew from January 27 as we begin our next adventure. "
A new menu, signed off by owner Christopher Murray, accompanied the good news.
Starters included classic Cullen Skink, crab cakes, salmon gravadlax, carrot and sweetcorn fritters and many more.
While the mains stays true to the restaurant's classical roots with a few curve balls thrown in.
The Ship Supreme - breast of chicken stuffed with garlic cream cheese, wrapped in pastry, orange infused gravy, creamed potato and vegetables - features.
A plant burger sits alongside the Bard's burger and an interesting chicken and banana pie. The iconic steak pie also returns in two sizes - 'Big Wan' and a 'Wee Wan'.
Desserts feature the classic sticky toffee pudding, chocolate fondant, lemon posset and many more.
