Iconic Kilmarnock entertainment venue closing permanently due to pandemic

An iconic entertainment venue in Kilmarnock is closing its doors.

Buzz Bingo, which was previously Gala Bingo, in the town centre will not open again.

Owners admitted the decision was a hard one to make but that they were left with little option.

A post on the business's page said: "Everyone has been impacted by coronavirus including us here at Buzz Bingo, which means we have had to make some difficult decisions.

"It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Buzz Bingo Kilmarnock will not be reopening and is closing permanently.

"We’re really sad to bring you this news as we know this will be a difficult time for our community and our colleagues.

"Please take a moment to read the full update from Chris Matthews, Buzz Bingo's CEO, at http://orlo.uk/ELmmB where you’ll also find a Q&A.

"You can get in touch with our customer service team between 10am and 10pm by emailing support@buzzbingo.com or via live chat on buzzbingo.com.

"We hope that you will continue to play with us at your next nearest club Buzz Bingo Irvine and online at buzzbingo.com.

"We’d like to thank all our customers and colleagues for their ongoing support and for making our community amazing."
