Iconic Edinburgh gay club Planet has reopened as a bar with kitchen

Planet is Edinburgh's longest running gay bar and their latest reinvention of themselves might be the biggest change yet.

The iconic venue has had a complete restructure of service due to the coronavirus pandemic and has even opened a full service kitchen.

While bars, restaurants and pubs have been allowed to reopen under new social distancing rules, Scotland's nightclubs remain closed and gigs are still off limits.

Planet is the latest nightclub to face reinvention, with Sneaky Pete's relaunching as a pizza bar this week.

The new kitchen is now open from 11am to 8pm serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You can grab brunch until 2pm every day and the bar is offering a full breakfast with coffee for just £7.50.

Lunch and dinner mains include sirloin steak and chips, homemade steak pie, a posh fish finger in sandwich and even a massive sharing platter of wings and ribs.

The bar is still open until 1am seven days a week and strict social distancing measures are in place.
