Dundee’s iconic Seabraes viewpoint could be in for a major facelift if the city council agree to funding.
Councillors will consider the request for £126,000 at a meeting next week.
If it gets the green light the proposals include new hard and soft landscaping to make the area more accessible for all as well as the inclusion of new street furniture.
Neighbourhood Services Convener Councillor Anne Rendall said: “Seabraes is a popular spot on the Perth Road area and it’s important that we invest in the space to keep it enjoyable for its visitors.
“We want to bring the space up to date and give it longevity, using stylish sustainable materials and creating a new landscape that utilises plants that are ecologically and aesthetically beneficial.
“The plans will make the best use of space while retaining the popular mini-Bandstand and areas of grass for visitors to take in.”
The total spend for the upgrades will amount to £126,000 with the works expected to begin in January and be completed by April 2022.
The Neighbourhood Services Committee will consider the proposals at its next meeting on Monday 10th January 2022.
