Iconic city centre hotel on sale for €22 million

The iconic Buswells Hotel on Molesworth Street has been put up for sale - with a cool asking price of €22 million.

The 67-bed hotel, which is across the road from the Dail, is popular among politicians, journalists and international tourists. Buswells is also close to a number of corporate officers including AIB, Barclays, Davy, DLA Piper, Horizon Therapeutics and Maple Group.

It is also just around the corner from St Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. The hotel is offered for sale free of management agreement and brand.

The hotel, which is on sale via real estate agency Savills, has a restaurant and bar as well as conference meeting facilities. Buswells is a two minute walk from Dawson Street Luas stop and a nine minute walk from Pearse Street DART station.

Head of Hotels and Leisure at Savills real estate agency Tom Barrett said: “Buswells is in the best Dublin location. Prime, but discreet and at the centre of everything an upscale hotel guest requires. Recent STR data for Dublin shows strong trade, with July occupancy of 86% at an ADR of €188 and RevPAR 21% above July 2019.

"This hotel presents a very rare opportunity to add value to a trophy Dublin hotel.” Meanwhile, planning permission for another hotel at Dublin's iconic Merchant's Arch has been lodged with Dublin City Council.
