The iconic Metro nightclub in Saltcoats could re-open as early as next summer.
The mystery team behind a bid to revive the Hamilton Street hotspot today revealed they are aiming to have it back in business for June 2020.
Refurbishment work began last month and tradesman have been working around the clock to get the building in shape.
And bosses have revealed how they've already been swamped with job requests as excitement builds for the rebirth of an Ayrshire institution.
A post on the official Metro Saltcoats Facebook page said: "We are aiming to open the doors in June 2020, with the understanding it may run on a little, but if we can ask again for people to please be patient.
"We are very busy getting this place in shape again also had a huge response of people wanting to help and looking for employment which is great.
"We wouldn't expect anyone to come in on their free time to do what we have done so far and wouldn't be fair to ask.
"We will start looking for local staff closer to the time of opening. Thanks for all the support and positivity about this project #metrosaltcoats #notjustaclub #livingthedream #forthecommunity ."
