The Pleasure Rooms once dominated Liverpool's club scene.
Every Saturday for over a decade, thousands of ravers would pile through the doors of the iconic venue in Wolstenholme Square.
The after hours club was renowned for its dance music and having live MCs performing over Scouse House.

For anyone who spent their weekends at the Pleasure Rooms in the late 90s and 00s, this classic line will be the most memorable of them all: "Have you been out lately? Have you been to a Pleasure Rooms Party?"
The club's music proved so popular that CDs were regularly given out at events, such as Scouse Nation at the Olympia, and sold in local record shops.

It was the end of an era when the club closed its doors after a final gathering in May 2016, leaving many regulars devastated.
Pleasure Rooms owner, and DJ in his own right, Karl Gwynn said the club was 'an addiction'.

T he ECHO has launched a new 56-page nostalgia supplement in print. It's packed with photos from the recent past and the not-so-recent, from shopping, fashion and music to the Albert Dock – plus an elephant on parade in Woolton. You can order a copy here.
Speaking to the ECHO in a previous interview, Karl said: "For me, it represented Liverpool.
"It was home. From the moment you walked in and made your way up those famous stairs, to be greeted with live MCs, laser lights and your favourite DJs.
"We became a Pleasure Rooms family."

Karl said: “It wasn't posh or classy, it wasn't supposed to be, but what it had was soul. It built a culture with a massive fanbase.
“Those who came for those huge beats, those messy nights, those great times and memories that will last forever.
"Before we knew it, CD sales were soaring as The Pleasure Rooms begin to dominate the Liverpool club scene. "
Other big names to perform the Pleasure Rooms included DJs Rob Cain, Lee M, Ian Redman and Chris Henry (of Ultrabeat), Ste Cocky, DJ Carlos and legendary Australian sensation Alex K, and, of course, MCs JMFC and MC B.
Chris Henry said: "The maddest thing about the Pleasure Rooms was the fact none of us knew what it would become. Within a short time the club was vibrant inside and out.
"There would be cars all over the North West blasting our DJ sets out the windows, people quoting me the Paul OH lyrics on a daily basis - I still don't know what he says, by the way."
The Wolstenholme Square venue was demolished during the first half of 2017 to make way for a luxury apartment complex, but Pleasure Rooms reunions still continue to this day and are as popular as ever.
The next event will be held at Liverpool's Olympia on October 2, and is already sold out, with over 800 people on the waiting list.
