Back in December you featured my struggle with iGadgets Recycled – the company which claimed to pay the best prices for used iPhones.
Having recently upgraded my phone, I used the service to trade my old iPhone in and agreed £143 online. But they reduced my offer to just £80 after I had sent off the phone.
I had attached a letter stating that I wouldn’t accept any lower offer and if they were to try to reduce the offer, I would like them to send my phone back. They didn’t, and then refused to refund the difference, citing their terms and conditions.
I thought that you would like to know that I filed a claim at the small claims court and the company recently settled for £203. A good outcome, I thought. KM, Barnsley
Always good to report a consumer winning over a company trying to use some dubious terms and conditions. Well done.
