Iceland unveils £3 cremé egg inspired cheesecake that tastes like the real thing

Just in time for Easter, Iceland have created the dessert of dreams - and it’s cracking.

The Luxury Belgian Chocolate Easter Egg Cheesecake tastes remarkably like that famous fondant egg, but don’t take our word for it.

Priced at just £3, it’s available online and in store now but once it’s gone, it’s gone. So how will you eat yours? We’re thinking large slice, fork, in our pjs.

The vanilla cheesecake has a classic biscuit base and is topped with white and yellow white chocolate sauce in the shape of a cracked egg, complete with dark chocolate strands.

Combining two iconic treats – the classic vanilla cheesecake and the famous fondant filled chocolate egg - Iceland’s development kitchen has created the ultimate dessert for families this Easter.

The frozen dessert needs no prep, shoppers can simply remove from the freezer and allow to defrost before devouring - hard to resist we know but trust us, it’s worth the wait.

If you're looking for vegan options, Holland and Barrett has launched a vegan Easter range and it includes a Cremé egg dupe which fans have been going mad for.

Good Housekeeping Institute also recently conducted a blind taste test and Asda’s £5 vegan egg came out on joint top place with M&S' Extra Thick Blonde and White Chocolate Egg that costs £12.

But if you’re a huge Cadbury’s Cremé egg fan, then why not head over to Amazon where you can buy a box of 48 for £16- that’s 33p an egg?
