Iceland unveil ice creams inspired by retro sweets - including Dib Dab and Flump

With warm weather like this, there's nothing better than tucking into a tasty ice cream.

And now, some of the nation's favourite childhood sweets are available in ice cream versions.

The nostalgic frozen treats by Barratt are set to launch exclusively into Iceland supermarkets and online from April 20th.

Included in the range are Fruit Salad, Black Jack and Flump ice lollies and a Wham Ice Cream Tub.

There's also a Dip Dab ice lolly that comes with a satchet of sherbet for dipping - we reckon this one will sell out in no time.

All priced at £2.50, the ice creams are created with natural colourings and flavourings, so they make a great treat for the whole family.

Sally Bennett, Iceland’s Senior Buyer for Ice Cream and Dessert said: “We are really excited to exclusively launch the Barrett’s brand into our Ice Cream range this summer.

“They are a welcome addition to differentiate the Iceland offer from the rest of the market and truly believe that the taste of the classic flavours of Fruit Salad and Black Jack will make our customers smile.”

The new range of frozen treats will join Iceland’s popular ice cream and lolly range, which includes Raspberry Ripple Screwballs and Drumstick Squashies lollies. You can find your nearest Iceland supermarket by using the online store finder.

But the Barratt ice creams aren't the only frozen treats shoppers can enjoy this summer.

M&S has launched a new Percy Pig ice cream for the warm season - and it's available to buy right now.

The cold dessert is priced at just £3 for a 453g tub, featuring that popular Percy Pig flavour of raspberries and grapes, a ripple of fruity sauce and a soft chewy texture of strawberry marshmallow.
