Iceland supermarket staff threatened by thief who claimed he had a knife

Staff at the Iceland supermarket in Bristol were threatened by a thief who claimed he had a knife.

The man entered the store in Staple Hill at around 9.45am on April 27 and proceeded to steal a number of food items.

Leaving the store via the main entrance, he was challenged by staff and reportedly threatened them, claiming to have the weapon.

Avon and Somerset Police have issued a CCTV image of the man they want to identify in connection with the disorder and urged anyone with information to come forward.

The statement said: "On Tuesday, April 27 at about 9.45am a man entered Iceland in Staple Hill and stole food items.

"He left via the store entrance and threatened staff when challenged, claiming to be in possession of a knife.
